TrainWise is an AI-powered endurance coaching app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account information – email address and name (via email, Google, or Apple Sign In).
Profile & goals – age, weight, fitness goals, race dates, and training preferences you enter.
Health & fitness data – workouts, heart rate, weight, and related metrics you choose to sync from Apple Health or Strava.
Training data – workout logs, training plans, and journal entries you create in the app.
Nutrition data – meal and nutrition logs you enter manually.
Device token – used only to deliver push notifications you have opted into.

2. How We Use Your Data

To create and adapt your personalised training plan.
To provide AI coaching insights, recovery recommendations, and nutrition guidance.
To send training reminders and motivational push notifications (only if you enable them).
To authenticate your account and keep it secure.

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with marketing partners.

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

TrainWise requests access to Apple Health data only to power in-app features. HealthKit data is never used for advertising, never shared with third parties for marketing, and never used for any purpose other than providing the app's training and coaching functionality.

4. Strava

If you connect your Strava account, we import your activity history to analyse training load. You can disconnect Strava at any time in the app settings, which will revoke our access.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secure, encrypted database (Supabase, hosted on AWS). We use industry-standard practices including HTTPS, row-level security, and token-based authentication. We do not store your Google or Apple credentials — authentication is handled entirely by those providers.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at the address below.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@trainwise.fitness.

8. Children

TrainWise is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
